Upgrade Windows 11 24H2 is not offered on client (already compliant?)

We use ConfigMgr 2309 and have 5500 Windows 11 22H2/23H2 HP Elitbooks, why can I only offer the 24H209 upgrade to 519 devices and the 24H208 upgrade to 524 devices? Are there certain requirements that must be met or does the ConfigMgr client not provide all the necessary information?

Hello,

there are few things that can be checked. It's important that the devices are meeting all the criteria like hardware requirements, drivers, apps compatibility. ConfigMgr performs compatibility checks, so this could be one reason. Check if you have created and deployed any feature update policies that might limit which devices can receive the upgrades. On the other hand, I would also check the Monitoring logs and the Logs on the Clients. You can find any error messages which can indicate why the devices are not eligible.

Do you know the logs that I can check? I have been dealing with the problem for a while, with the 2024-05 release of Windows11 24H2 (I think that was the first thing that was made available via WSUS) we were able to successfully test an in-place upgrade, and all devices were reported as available there. Only the later releases had these problems. We only use 2 HP models from the Gen10 series, all of which are no older than 2 years (with Secure Boot, TPM 2.0 and everything you need for Windows 11). We had also considered whether a minimum version of Windows 11 is required, we tested this with some devices that are delivered from the factory with Windows 11 22H2 (10.0.12621.1555), even some of them are released and some are not. SCCM simply reports that the devices are "compliant", true to the motto: "The update is not required". 90% of our devices are patched to Windows 11 23H2 at least Build 4037. Drivers should also not be a problem as long as newer versions are not blocked, as the factory devices are also delivered with drivers from Q2-23, some of which are suitable for the upgrade.

Same problem here in our environment. I have x360 G10 with W11 22H2 and when I deploy the 24H2 feature update, config manager reports "compliant" for these devices and nothing happens.
