September 2014 updates for Internet Explorer
The September update for Internet Explorer is focused on bringing the latest security updates to our users:
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS14-052 - This critical security update resolves one publicly disclosed vulnerability and twenty-five privately reported vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer. For more information see the full bulletin.
Security Update for Flash Player (2987114) - This security update for Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer 10 and 11 on supported editions of Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 is also available. The details of the vulnerabilities are documented in Adobe security bulletin APSB14-21. This update addresses the vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player by updating the affected Adobe Flash binaries contained within Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11. Staying up-to-date
Most customers have automatic updating enabled and will not need to take any action because these update will be downloaded and installed automatically. Customers who have automatic updating disabled need to check for updates and install this update manually.

No new feature? No fix of REAL issues with the browser? Like those thick black lines in github commit and issue/comment-thread page. No shortcut fix? like press and hold ctrl and click browser back and forward should open the previous and forward tab in new window.. No performance gain? No WebRTC? No WebGL's 100% support? Besides the regular security patches, please do an exclusive blog for Tuesday updates to make discoverability of YOUR team's hard work easy!Anonymous

Just last month, Microsoft shipped improved WebGL conformance in IE 11, bringing their overall support level from 90% to 97% -- let me say that that again with emphasis: NINETY SEVEN PERCENT -- and people are still complaining that they haven't shipped "better WebGL support"? Further, picking on IE11 is a bit silly -- everyone is still working on 100% support. The current Khronos test suite still crashes IE11.0.11 and Firefox 32 altogether and it crashes Chrome 37's WebGL engine (though the browser session keeps running).Anonymous

I don't get some people here, any browser has yet to archieve 100% WebGL support and people are already complaining about IE11, which Improved support in both IE11.0.7 and 11.0.11. For goodness sacke, this is a patch, why do people expect feature updates? Be happy that the IE team doesn't put everything in IE12 and already pushed 2 minor updates to IE11 for improvements.Anonymous

Can anyone comment on what patch(s) are needed in order to get Enterprise mode to work with IE11 on WIN7? I have a need to test this and want to deploy IE along with the required patch(s0 to expedite its use. Thanks in advance.Anonymous

IE 11 fails to print many web pages having a left side navigation list. The navigation list is printed over the body of the web page.Anonymous

Its understood. All I am saying; with the emerging web, IE team should promote their features update in a similar fashion. They are so consistent about security articles/blogs for ages which play very well to impress enterprise customer. But for a web developer, it's all about conformance and feature implementation. For average user, its UX which appeals them, in which IE is bit rusty; especially the tab-browsing and shortcuts.. I want IE to perfect in all dimensions as much as the next guy and yourself. Promoting their work -- under the hood changes -- via blog articles and twitter is the way to do it. Or perhaps IE team should visit stackoverflow.com once a while and see what challenges the community is facing.. After all it is ever-evolving web where even enough is not enough.Anonymous

Still no fix for the F12 emulation tools? The drop-down lists are still empty unless IE is elevated. This issue was closed as "fixed" at the end of July. How long are we going to have to wait for the fix to be available?
