Extra characters are being inserted into my MS Office file names. For example,
A file named: "Drugs, vitamins, supplements, 3-31-23" is saved as
Drugs^LJ vitamins^LJ supplements^LJ 3-31-23.
This problem started about 10-1-22 when I bought a new HP computer with Windows 11 Home installed. I have Office 365 with automatic updates.
How can I stop extra characters from being inserted into file names?

Filenames cannot contain commas, cf. https://zcusa.951200.xyz/en-us/windows/win32/msi/filename
Remove the commas.

With all due respect, that's bullsh*t. The article you linked says SHORT filenames cannot contain commas, plus signs, etc.
My filenames have included commas for years and this junk started happening only within the past couple weeks in the LONG filenames.
