I am trying to install Nvidia Drivers on Azure VM created with Nvidia NGC Cloud Image. I tried installing all different versions of Drivers it's not getting recognised. using the Nvidia-smi command to identify GPU configuration its saying "no driver installed". How can i get this issue resolved.

- Which image did you pick from the Azure Marketplace? It looks like there is a vanilla image and a vGPU driver image:
- Which VM size did you use? I was allowed to deploy the image using a non-NVIDIA size VM so I want to confirm that the correct hardware is in place:

devops 0 Reputation points2024-12-26T08:54:07.0233333+00:00 We are creating Standard NV12ads A10 v5 (12 vcpus, 110 GiB memory) VM on azure which comes with Nvidia A10 GPU inbuilt. We are trying to install respecticve nvidia drivers using azure extension but the installation is failing. We have also tried manually installing drivers through terminal commands but it fails. We get below error when trying to run "nvidia-smi": NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running. Please note that we are using Ubuntu 24.04 OS.
