Neither Word nor PowerPoint have built-in features for precise syncing of music and lyrics.

Word: Insert the Music File: Go to the "Insert" tab and click "Object." Choose "Create from File" and select your music file. Check "Display as icon" to embed the file without showing a large player. Add Lyrics: Type the lyrics below or alongside the audio icon. Use spacing and formatting to visually align lyrics with the song's structure Double-click the audio icon to play the music.

PowerPoint: Insert Audio: Go to the "Insert" tab and click "Audio." Select "Audio on My PC" and choose your music file. Add Lyrics: Create text boxes for lyrics on multiple slides, timed to the music. Use the "Animation" tab to control when lyrics appear and disappear. Adjust timing and transitions for visual sync. PowerPoint is generally better for visual syncing due to its animation and slide-based structure.

    Hi Jeff,

How about using Present function with real-time, automatic captions or subtitles in PowerPoint? Insert the music and select ‘Slide Show’, turn the ‘Live Caption’ on and see if it can meet your requirements.
