I recently faced a similar issue where notifications for number authentication were not appearing. Here’s the process I followed to resolve it:
- First, I deleted my account from the Authenticator app.
- Then, I accessed the Microsoft 365 Entra Center, navigated to All Users, and selected the relevant user.
- In the left-hand pane, I clicked on Authentication Methods and chose the option to Require re-register multifactor authentication.
After completing these steps, when you log in to your account, you’ll be prompted to set up the Authenticator app again. Simply follow the process and scan the QR code provided during the setup.
Once done, the issue should be resolved, and everything will work as expected.
