I can’t log into my student email account on outlook

I recently received a new phone, and am trying to log into my uni student account on outlook, however, upon trying to log into, I am taken into the microsoft authenticator app, which then asks me to authenticate using the same app. I cannot do this as the app is already open and backing out would remove the code, leaving me in a circle.
