Retrieves the symbol from which the pointer is based.

Syntax

HRESULT get_baseSymbol(   
   IDiaSymbol** pRetVal);

Parameters

pRetVal
[out] A pointer to the symbol from which the pointer is based.

Return Value

If successful, returns S_OK; otherwise, returns S_FALSE or an error code.
