How to provide RBAC access in Azure storage account IAM to on-prem Hyper-V VMs

Is there any way to assign roles in Azure storage IAM to On-prem Hyper-V VMs,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to assign roles in Azure Storage IAM to on-premises Hyper-V VMs. The Azure Storage IAM is designed to manage access to Azure Storage resources, such as blobs, queues, and tables. It is not designed to manage access to on-premises resources.

If you want to manage access to on-premises resources, you can use Azure AD Domain Services to extend your on-premises Active Directory to Azure. This allows you to manage access to on-premises resources using Azure AD, including assigning roles and permissions to users and groups.

Alternatively, you can use Azure Arc to manage your on-premises Hyper-V VMs from Azure. Azure Arc allows you to manage applications across on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge environments. With Azure Arc, you can manage access to your on-premises Hyper-V VMs using Azure RBAC, which allows you to assign roles and permissions to users and groups in Azure.

VM's hostname are not showing while providing roles to them in Azure Storage account IAM.

It is possible that the VMs are not properly registered in Azure Active Directory or that there are network connectivity issues preventing proper communication between Azure and the Hyper-V hosts. Ensure that your on-premises environment is properly configured and connected to Azure before attempting to assign roles in Azure Storage IAM.
