I was trying to upload my photos to Azure. I attempted my times but it doesn't seem they got uploaded properly. It ended with nothing in the folder. Do I need to upgrade my account to 'pay-as-you-go' or monthly payment accounts before I can do that?

Based on the information provided in the context, upgrading your Azure account to pay-as-you-go or monthly payment accounts is not necessary for uploading files or photos to Azure. However, if you use resources that are not free and your subscription gets disabled because you run out of credit, and then you upgrade your subscription, the resources get enabled after the upgrade, and you will be charged for the resources used.

If you are having trouble uploading files or photos to Azure, you may be experiencing performance issues. If this is the case, you can troubleshoot the issue by creating a support request or asking Azure community support.

    Hello @Patrick Liu,

welcome to this moderated Azure community forum.

Personal photos are normally stored in a consumer-oriented service like One Drive but because you explicitly mention Azure, I expect you use an Azure resource like Azure Storage, blob storage or file storage.

Both these services are listed in the list of Azure free services but notice both the limitations in size and duration:

    User's image

These free services are only applicable while you have a valid subscription, even if you make no extra costs.

So this means you have either eg. a free trial, a student, or a pay-as-you-go subscription.
