Can you turn off dashes on metric charts?

We use metrics charts in Azure dashboards and it works really well. However when we try to monitor say CPU or memory for app services or scalesets with instance splitting turned on - it gets messy if there have been scaleouts/in or app service restarts (which we sometimes force).

i.e. when a new instance starts up you get dashes all from the left of the graph to where it started up. Any instances which end show dashed lines all the way to the right of the chart. Annoying!

I've attached a simple example but imagine when you look over longer periods with many more instances starting and stopping - its looks a mess!!!!

It would be amazing if there was just a checkbox to turn off dashed lines for missing data.
