How is the Azure Advisor aggregate score calculated for 2 or more subscriptions?

Hi supporters,

I would like to understand how Azure Advisor calculates aggregations for the five pillars across multiple subscriptions, as I need to visualize this data in my application

In the example below we have values for Azure Advisor subscription 1 – (Cost = 74, Security = 59, Reliability = 98, Operational Excellence = 90, Performance = 100)

And subsequently values for Azure Advisor subscription 2 - 

(Cost = 100, Security = 59, Reliability = 100, Operational Excellence = 100, Performance = 0)User's image

When selecting both subscriptions, we obtain the aggregate values

I expected that the aggregate Advisor scores would be the arithmetic average between the two, such as Cost = (74+100)/2 = 87, but that is not the case. Could you please help with this?

    Azure Advisor aggregates scores across multiple subscriptions by calculating a weighted average based on the number of resources or services contributing to each pillar within each subscription, rather than a simple arithmetic mean. This means the score for each pillar is influenced by the proportional contribution of resources from each subscription to the overall metric. For example, if Subscription 1 has significantly more resources impacting the "Cost" score compared to Subscription 2, its score will carry more weight in the aggregate calculation. This ensures the aggregate scores reflect the real-world impact of recommendations across all resources rather than treating subscriptions as equal regardless of their size or complexity.
