I am a member of the admin group for my device.

Normally when I shut down my pc, the admin privileges app is uninstalled.

I will then have to install it, sign out and sign back in.

However, after rebooting recently I found the app still installed, but no admin privileges working.

I tried to uninstall, and then I get an error saying "Uninstall failed", no other error message. The app then shows the button "Retry Uninstall"

If I am removed from the admin group, the tile disappears, when I am added back to it, the tile re-appears but still with the message "Uninstall failed" and the button "Retry Uninstall".

    Hi Ryan,

It seems you’re looking to grant your device administrator access to avoid being prompted for admin credentials when performing administrative tasks. While I understand you’ve deployed an application to achieve this, it appears the package was not deployed correctly, causing the feature to malfunction.

I’d like to propose a more secure and reliable method for assigning admin rights to your device. Please follow the steps below:

    Access Intune Admin Center:

    • Navigate to Endpoint Security and select Account Protection.

    Create a New Policy:

      - **Platform:** Windows

         - **Profile:** Local User Group Membership

            - **Policy Name:** (Choose a suitable name)

               - **Configuration:**

                     - Under **Group Configuration**, choose **Administrator** as the local group.

                           - For **Group Action**, select **Add (Update)**.

                                 - Under **User Selection**, specify the desired user or group.

    1. Assign the Policy:
      • In the Assignments section, assign the policy to a pre-existing security group (ensure the security group is already created).
      • and review and create the policy. Now, Add your device name to the security group.

Within 24 hours, your device will automatically have administrator rights.

If you need any further assistance or clarification, feel free to reach out.
