We are getting a recommendation to "Migrate Service Principals from the retiring Azure AD Graph APIs to Microsoft Graph" . When we look at what the application is, it says "VISUAL STUDIO".

I assume we can't do anything about VISUAL STUDIO code using Azure AD Graph. Is there anything we should be doing to ensure VISUAL STUDIO continues to work as expected?

    Hello UNIMEDIA SOFT,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Support!

Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Graph is deprecated and is currently in its retirement path. It is recommended that you migrate your apps to Microsoft Graph if you have AD Graphs.

    Please find details here- https://zcusa.951200.xyz/en-us/graph/migrate-azure-ad-graph-overview

    Hi

I got this, too: migrate service principals from the retiring Azure AD Graph APIs to Microsoft Graph. The two Apps are Visual Studio and Microsoft Office, and it looks like Microsoft manages those apps to call some services.

Please advise how to move those Apps to Microsoft Graph.

    Thank you

Hello Microsoft. How about an answer to the actual question instead of just repeating what is posted? To help clarify your customers are finding when they check what apps are using the old Graph APIs that all the apps are MICROSOFT apps. We obviously cannot make changes to these apps ourselves so what is MICROSOFT doing to fix their apps to use the new Graph app instead of the APIs?

Frankly my opinion is that sending these email warnings to customers that do not have any custom apps is spam and not helpful at all. They only cause confusion. My assumption is that the Microsoft apps that use the Graph APIs are already in process of being patched so they use the new Graphing app instead. If not, then that is a huge miss by Microsoft.
