Hi @Swarnima
Greetings & Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum! Thanks for posting your query!
As I understand that you are experiencing an issue with editing Data Flows in Synapse Analytics.
I tried to replicate the scenario and didn't face any difficulty while editing the dataflow.
Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help you:
User Permissions - Your user account may lack the necessary permissions to edit Data Flows. Ensure that your account has Contributor or Data Factory Contributor roles assigned to it in the Synapse workspace. Check this in the Azure Portal under Access Control (IAM) for the Synapse resource.
Session or Cache Issue - Sometimes, browser cache or session-related issues can prevent the interface from working correctly. Clear your browser's cache and cookies. Open Synapse Studio in an incognito/private browsing window. Use a different browser to access Synapse Studio.
Locked or Unresponsive UI - The Synapse Studio UI might be temporarily unresponsive or locked due to a system issue. Refresh the Synapse Studio page. Log out and log back into Synapse Studio. Restart the Synapse Studio instance in the Azure Portal if the issue persists.
Missing Dependencies - If the Data Flow references datasets, linked services, or parameters that have been deleted or corrupted, the editor might not open. Check the dependencies of the Data Flow and ensure all referenced components exist and are correctly configured.
Note:
Explicitly Open the Data Flow - Instead of directly clicking Edit, try opening the Data Flow from the Data Flows section in the workspace menu. Navigate to the specific Data Flow and check if the options appear correctly.
