I am currently on the $5000 of Azure credits tier. I wanted to enquire what are the changes and/or additions upon unlocking the next tier? Do all of the existing benefits carry forward with increased credits or are there restrictions/changes (specifically the Microsoft 365 Business Premium)? Also what new services, if any, become accessible? Lastly, what is the approximate time for the request for additional credits to be approved if we have satisfied all the requirements?

When you move from the $5,000 Azure credits tier to a higher tier, such as $25,000 or more, you continue to receive core benefits like Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, GitHub Enterprise, and Visual Studio Enterprise. These benefits are available across all tiers and will carry forward as you unlock higher levels of credits.
In higher tiers like $25,000 and above, you also gain additional perks such as Azure Pairing and Expert Network, which can be used without limitations. While there isn’t a specific timeline mentioned for approving additional credit requests, the process involves a review, and approval depends on meeting all the necessary requirements.

But let's say that I have already used the 12 month Microsoft 365 Business Premium benefit, if I move to a higher tier will that renew for another 12 months?

The Microsoft 365 Business Premium benefit is valid for one year from the date it is activated. Advancing to higher credit tiers does not modify the offer or extend the duration of this benefit.
Hi, I had another follow up on these lines. Our Microsoft for Startups benefits of $5000 tier expires today. We had completed all the 7 requirements and had submitted the request for more credits 2 days ago. In the email we received, it was mentioned that it would take 3 business days for our request to get approved. I wanted to know the dynamics if the request is approved let’s say 1 or 2 days after the end of our benefit period today. Specifically what will be the status of the benefits we have ongoing and the charges for Azure services during this period? Will it be deducted from the increased credits later on or will we have to pay for this?

I think what I was asking didn’t come across fully clearly. I’ll clarify with more specificity. I wanted to know if let’s say my benefits and credits for the current tier end on 2nd January and my request for moving to a higher tier is approved on 5th of January, will I have to bear the costs of services running from 2nd to 5th January myself using the payment info added or will these be deducted later from the credits offered as part of the higher tier?
If your benefits and credits for the current tier end on January 2nd, and your request for a higher tier is approved on January 5th, the costs incurred between January 2nd and 5th will need to be covered using the payment information provided. These charges cannot be retroactively deducted from the credits offered under the higher tier.
