Hello, dear colleagues. I am experiencing an issue with VPN. I use Touch VPN for this purpose. Every time I try to turn on this VPN, it shows – “encryption disable”.  Honestly I have tried to solve this issue in 2 ways:

  1. put checkmark on boxes - "Use SSL, use TLS" - within advanced setting for Internet Options (Windows OS - Control Panel).
  2. performed Network reset via Windows setting.

Both attempts didn’t help to remedy this issue – it still persists.

So, could you please help me with my issue. It is getting now some sort of headscratch and really halt my job all the way.

Thank you in advance.

    Hello Ruslan Kazmiryk,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

It seems you're having a frustrating time with your VPN. Let's see if we can troubleshoot the issue further. Here are a few more steps you can try to troubleshoot the "encryption disable" message in Touch VPN:

    1. Update Touch VPN:

Ensure you are using the latest version of Touch VPN.

    2. Reinstall Touch VPN:

Uninstall Touch VPN and then reinstall it to ensure you have a clean installation.

    3. Check for Windows Updates:

Make sure your operating system is up to date.

    4. Disable Other VPN Clients:

If you have other VPN clients installed, disable or uninstall them. Conflicts between multiple VPN clients can cause issues.

    5. Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

Make sure your firewall or antivirus software isn't blocking Touch VPN.

    6. Administrative Privileges:

Run Touch VPN with administrative privileges. To do this, right-click the Touch VPN shortcut and select "Run as administrator."

    7. Check Network Adapter Settings:

Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.

Find your network adapter and right-click it, then select Properties.

Make sure that the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) are checked.

    8. DNS Settings:

Try changing your DNS settings to use a public DNS, such as Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

    9. Reset Winsock:

Open a command prompt as an administrator (right-click Command Prompt and select "Run as administrator").

Run the command: netsh winsock reset.

    Restart your computer.

    1. Check SSL/TLS Protocols:

Go back to Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced tab.

Ensure that the following are checked:

    Use SSL 3.0

    Use TLS 1.0

    Use TLS 1.1

    Use TLS 1.2 (if available)

Uncheck any protocols labeled as deprecated or insecure.

Did this issue happen suddenly (there wasn't such a problem in the past)? Or did you have this problem the first time you used this VPN? If the issue happened suddenly (there wasn't such a problem in the past, check what changes you may make recently.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may consider reaching out to Touch VPN's support for assistance or trying a different VPN service to see if the problem persists with other providers.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
