Here are a few troubleshooting steps you might want to try:
1、Make sure your computer’s BIOS is set to recognize the new hard drive. You may need to enter the BIOS setup utility and check if the new drive is detected there.
2、In Windows Disk Management, try reassigning the drive letter to something different and see if the problem persists. If assigning a different letter fixes the issue temporarily, it might indicate a conflict with another drive using the same letter.
3、Update your motherboard’s SATA/ACHI drivers as well as any other relevant device drivers.
4、Use chkdsk tool to check for errors on the disk. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and type chkdsk D: /f /r (replace D: with the appropriate drive letter) and press Enter.
