Cannot delete an Azure (Global) Network interface that is associated with a VM that has been deleted. The only resources still associated with the VM are Network interface, Network connection, and Virtual network, all of which will not delete because the Network interface will not delete. I cannot recreate the VM, I need a way to force this delete or have Microsoft delete it form me. Please help.

    Hello,

It appears that there might be an issue, but you could following these steps in sequence to address it (if you are ok with deleting the resource group):

    1. Verify the resource: Ensure that the virtual machine mentioned in the error is indeed the one you intend to delete. Doublecheck its identity.
    2. Remove the resource group: Resource groups are designed to encapsulate resources with similar lifecycles. Although exceptions exist, the preferred approach is to delete entire resource groups rather than individual resources.
    3. Request assistance for resource/resource group deletion: If you've confirmed that the VM has already been deleted and you encounter difficulties deleting the resource group, it's possible that the network interface may be in an undesirable state.

Otherwise, I'd recommend you open a Azure Support ticket:
