We are facing an Outlook pop-up issue, even after clearing the credentials. This is affecting a majority of users. Since we are using a hybrid setup with both on-premises and cloud solutions, we would appreciate any guidance or steps to help resolve this issue effectively

    Hello, @Shareef Ahmmed,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform!

Based on your description, you and other users are experiencing problems with Outlook continuously popping up password prompts. To better address your issue, I would like you to answer the following questions.

1.What email address(es) do you have configured for it (e.g. Outlook online, Exchange, POP3, etc)?

2.Have you tried disconnecting the email account and then adding it back?

The first step you can try, please go to the settings in Outlook. Ensure your user account is correct. Click the option on the right side to update the license. If that doesn't help, consider signing out and back in if necessary. Note that this Office account is tied to your Office 365 subscription and not necessarily the email accounts you're using.

There are many reasons for this problem, and I have only provided some preliminary articles here for your reference.

There can be various possible causes for Outlook pop-up issue, where users are facing password prompt. These can be-

    1.       Credential Caching issues

    2.       Outdated Outlook version

    3.       Corrupt Outlook mail profile

    4.       Autodiscover Misconfiguration

You can resolve these issues. Ensure that all old credentials are removed from the Windows Credential Manager. Verify that all users are on the latest version of Outlook. If clearing credentials and updating settings doesn’t help, try creating a new Outlook profile. Make sure the Autodiscover DNS records point correctly for both on-premises and cloud users.
