Hello Everyone,
I need help to completing the SCOM 2019 installation. I am setting up a SCOM lab and have tried installing it with SQL Server 2019 using CU12 and CU29, as well as SQL Server 2017 and SQL Server 2016 with the latest updates, but the setup continues to fail.

I'm an SQL Server guy, and don't anything about Operations Manager. But from the SQL Side of things, this looks to me like a major blunder. They are shipping a stored procedure that does not compile?
But so much is clear that group policies etc does not matter. You need to get hold of a better setup package.

i was downloaded from this same link and i tried again now, but still the setup failed and not complete.
XinGuo, did you try to repro this yourself? I find it difficult to see that this would something happens locally on Reham's side. Furthermore, if you can repro it, do you have any strings to pull in the System Centre product group? This sounds like a very embarrassing error.
I had an idea that I would try myself, but it seems that I have to register to download an evaluation, and I have no desire to do that, since System Center is nothing I have interest in as such.
We can't reproduce this; we can successfully install scom2019 in our experimental environment.

RehamHossam-3731, you try to install SCOM on 4 SQL servers, whether they are hosted on the same machine or on separate ones. Alternatively, you can try setting up a completely new SQL server for the installation.

i mean in that these are my tries to setup SCOM 2019 with different sql Version but with every sql version i get the same Error.
the last try with this uploaded log from sql 2019 CU29 with scom 2019 and they are hosted on the same machine and i used this link during the Setup.
FYI, my lab Setup is on azure VM ,Are there any restriction to do that on azure?
This is a mystery. XinGuo, how does the definition of p_MaintenanceModeStatusUpdate look like in your successful installation?

i have a good news, i tried to download and Setup SCOM 2022 with SQL 2019 CU29 and it has been completed successfully.
FYI: with SCOM 2022 Firstly i tried it on Win server 2019 but its failed in management server step
Then i try it's one more time with Win Server 2022 and finally the setup completed successfully.
Kindly noted if you get the reason why it happens with me on SCOM2019 Please Comment here to give me more experience.

Great to hear that this are working for you! I'm still puzzled how things could failed exactly that way. But I guess that since your issue has been sorted out, I will never learn exactly what happened.
