I was advised to post on this site regarding a weird situation with Outlook on Android and calander colour categories. If I set up an account using my 365, then categories are showing. However, using my Exchange 2019 email, no categories are available. I did set the categories up and they are visible if I share my calander with someone ekse using Outlook on a Windows PC and they are also showing with OWA. Any ideas as to why the Outlook app on Android fails to show these Exchange 2019 colours on the calander? Thank you.

    Hi @Stewart Vane-Tempest ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform!

Based on your description, the issue you are experiencing in Outlook for Android not showing calendar color categories for Exchange 2019 accounts is a known limitation. Currently, the Outlook app for Android does not support setting or showing calendar color categories for Exchange 2019 accounts.

There are a few things you can try:

    1. Sometimes, simply restarting the Outlook app on your Android device can help sync the categories correctly1.
    2. Make sure you have the latest version of the Outlook app installed, as updates may include fixes for this type of issue.
    3. Because categories are visible in Outlook for Windows and OWA, you may need to rely on those platforms to manage and view calendar categories.
