azure subscription 1 free account

I am unable to create resource groups under my free account that I am using for class work. I had last used this account 2 months ago but now subscription type says (disabled) azure subscription 1

    Below are instructions for re-activating your subscription:

    Reactivate a disabled Azure subscription

    https://zcusa.951200.xyz/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/subscription-disabled

    An Azure Free account needs to be upgraded to Pay-As-You-Go after the first 30 days or it will be Disabled. If you don't reactivate within 30 days after it being disabled, your subscription and any data will be deleted.
