Bing Maps for Enterprise service retirement

Bing Maps for Enterprise is deprecated and will be retired. Free (Basic) account customers can continue to use Bing Maps for Enterprise services until June 30th, 2025. Enterprise account customers can continue to use Bing Maps for Enterprise services until June 30th, 2028. To avoid service disruptions, all implementations using Bing Maps for Enterprise REST APIs and SDKs will need to be updated to use Azure Maps by the retirement date that applies to your Bing Maps for Enterprise account type.

Azure Maps is Microsoft's next-generation maps and geospatial services for developers. Azure Maps has many of the same features as Bing Maps for Enterprise, and more. To get started with Azure Maps, create a free Azure subscription and an Azure Maps account. For more information about azure Maps, see Azure Maps Documentation. This topic describes how to:

  • Change the Microsoft account associated with your Bing Maps Account

  • Update your Bing Maps Dev Center information

Change the Microsoft account associated with your Bing Maps Account

To change the Microsoft account that you use to log in to the Bing Maps Dev Center, you must email mpnet@microsoft.com your request and include the following information:

  • Your Bing Maps Dev Center account ID.

  • The unique ID for the new Microsoft account you want to use.

    Please note that the Microsoft account must not have been previously used to sign in to this Bing Maps account and do not try to sign in with the new Microsoft account until we inform you that the change has been made.

To get your Bing Maps Dev Center ID:

  1. Sign in to the Bing Maps Dev Center.

  2. Click Update or view account details under My Account to view your account details. The Account ID appears in the list of Account details.

To get the unique ID associated with the new Microsoft account:

  1. Go to https://account.live.com and sign in using the new account that you want to use to access the Bing Maps Dev Center.

  2. After you sign in, click Edit under Personal details and note the Unique ID at the bottom of the page.

Update your Bing Maps Dev Center information

To update your Bing Maps Dev Center information:

  1. Sign in to the Bing Maps Dev Center.

  2. Click Update or view account details to view your account details, and then click Edit.

  3. Make your changes to the account information, and then click Save.
