Afer some update beginning/mid this year vs 22 began to have problems with the following points:

  • Tools/Options/Xamarin/Apple Accounts the Details for the team beginning having issues loading the profiles(and certificates... both lists are and stay empty)
  • Provisioning Profiles in Xamarin iOS Properties dont show up.
  • when re adding a developer account. the 2nd team is missing completly

Is it a local problem for me, or is this still all broken and we should use another way now?

Until today i found here and there workarounds. but its getting to the point where it is not bearable anymore.

    Hello,

It is supported in VS 2022 17.3 and above, please see the release notes.
You could check if your Apple Developer account is an enterprise or an individual type: go to Apple Developer Portal, check Membership Details, then see the Entity Type.
If it is Enterprise, you can remove your account in VS and add again.
If it is Individual, please go to App Store Connect, click User and Access, go to Keys tab, choose App Store Connect API , then generate an API Key. Then you can open VS and go to Tools-> Options-> Xamarin-> Apple Accounts -> Add-> Individual account, enter your API key information.
After that, you can click View Details to load the certificates/profiles. (It may need pairing to mac)
Note: The API key can only be downloaded once, please take care to save it. For information about creating an App Store Connect API key, you can see Creating API Keys for App Store Connect API on Apple.

    Best Regards,
    Wenyan Zhang
