Setting up SQL server and database I did not have option to choose location US (East)

I got this error when setting up sql server: "Your subscription does not have access to create a server in the selected region. For the latest information about region availability for your subscription, go to aka.ms/sqlcapacity. Please try another region or create a support ticket to request access." and can only setup in Australia (East). Please let me know how I can get it to allow US (East) or create a support ticket without having to pay monthly subscription for support?

Thanks!

    @Linda Mitchell
    Thank you for the question and for using Microsoft Q&A platform.

    It seems like you're facing a subscription limitation issue, which is preventing you from creating a SQL Server in the US East region but allowing it in Australia East. This error typically occurs when specific regions have capacity constraints or are restricted based on the subscription type, such as free or trial subscriptions.

    To resolve this, you can try the following approaches:

    1. Check Region Availability

    Visit the URL provided in the error message (aka.ms/sqlcapacity) to check the availability of SQL resources in different regions for your subscription. Some regions might have limited capacity for certain types of subscriptions, including free or trial plans.

    1. Change to Another Region

    If US East is not available for your subscription, you can try creating the SQL Server in a different region in the US, such as US Central or US West. This might bypass the issue while keeping the server geographically closer to your preferred location.

    1. Request Access via Support

    If you prefer to use US East but are blocked due to a subscription limit, you can request access to this region by submitting a support ticket.
