Issues with MySQL single server migration to Flexible Server

My MySQL single server was migrated to Flexible Server this morning. It has been more than 12 hours and I cannot see the new instance in the azure portal or the azure cli. My application is not able to connect to the new server. In the console I get a "Resource not found" message. I see nothing listed by the CLI.

Attempting to connect to the server (with what I think is the right hostname) gives:

SQLSTATE[HY000] [9030] This MySQL server is currently stopped. Start the server to establish connectivity.

    Hi Alex Rothberg

This likely requires a backend ARM sync operation. You may need to open a support case and request them to perform the sync operation. Feel free to share the case ID. If you don’t have a support plan, please let us know.

    Thank You!

We have the exact same challenge and have created a case with Microsoft and they reject it because we do not have a support plan.

Microsft did the upgrade/migrate from MySQL single server to Flexible Server and now the MySQL single server is stopped and the new MySQL Flexible Server is not available

Ask: MySQL single server got migrated to Flexible Server and the new instance cannot be seen in the azure portal or the azure cli. The application is not able to connect to the new server. Receiving an error "Resource not found" message.

Solution: Cache was outdated and refreshing the cache resolved the issue.

I managed to create a severity A case at Microsoft and on Sunday evening and we got an Indian support engineer on the case, he started by explaining that there was nothing wrong, that the server was running fine and that it was only cosmetic that it was not visible in the portal. Of course, we could not accept that since we could not connect to the new mysql flexible server, we had no public access enabled on the old mysql single server.

From 18:00 to 24:00 he kept saying that his team was working on automated ARM cache and he kept saying just wait it will work soon. At 24:00 6 hours later I was informed that their shift was over and the case will be passed on.

At 04 am we got a new support enginner on the case. The new support Enginner said that an ARM refresh neded to be run, which will take 40-50 min and approx 1 hour later our mysql flexible server was visible and we could connect to it.

It´s a bug in the automated migration from Microsoft and the only way to solve it is to create a case so Microsoft can run the "arm refresh casche" or something like that.
