Custom role created at the resource group level

I have created a custom role at the resource group level, however I need to duplicate this across multiple environments and I would like to know the most effective way to do this.

I am concerned if I need to alter the role slightly, it can get cumbersome deploying the changes to other resource groups in other environments.

Any thoughts here.

I understand that you created a custom role at the resource group level, and you want to duplicate this across multiple environments.

Azure portal is an effective way to create a custom role. You need to have Owner or User Access Administrator role to create a custom role.

You can assign custom role at subscription level within management group, it helps in creating custom role in multiple subscriptions instead of creating custom roles for each subscription separately.
