Issue:
Our Basic Azure Cache for Redis went down yesterday. Rebooting the cache failed. Since I was unable to raise a support ticket and we needed it working I tried deleting the resource and recreating it. Unfortunately it seems even the delete operation got stuck (currently for >30 minutes).
Currently it looks like I'm stuck with a resource that I cannot delete and it will continue to accrue a cost (and I cannot reuse the name). What I am I supposed to do in this situation?
Solution:
Deletion went through after 40 minutes.
If I missed anything please let me know and I'd be happy to add it to my answer, or feel free to comment below with any additional information.
If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thank you again for your time and patience throughout this issue.
