Go to the Azure portal.
Navigate to your Recovery Services vault.
In the vault, select Backup items under the Protected items section.
Select Stop backup from the options available.
On the Stop Backup page, select "Delete Backup Data" from the drop-down menu. This
option will remove all recovery points linked to this backup item.
Follow the prompts to confirm stopping the backup and deleting the data. Once done, the backup item will be "soft deleted," meaning it can be restored within 14 days if needed.
