I’m encountering an issue while attempting to install the Windows 11 24H2 KB5048667 (Patch Key: ad27e52b-9e18-408a-9df2-8688e5273fbf) update using the Windows Update Agent. The following error appears during the installation process:

Failed: Unspecified Error 0x80240023

This issue is occurring on multiple systems. However, I can successfully install all other updates using the same Windows Update Agent without any problems.

Has anyone else faced this issue or have any suggestions to resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    Hope everything is going well.

1,The error 0x80240023 means "The license terms for all updates were declined". So, please kindly ensure that Windows is activated. If Windows is not activated, this will cause the 0x80240023 error for Windows 11.

2,Run the Windows update troubleshooter to see if it fixes the issue.

Select Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Next, under Most Frequent, select Windows Update > Run.

3,Are you also tried to use Configuration Manager or Intune to deploy the Windows 11 24H2 KB5048667 update?

Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns/queries.

    Best regards,

    Simon
