Azure services for employee tracking in factories

I’ve noticed that Spatial Analysis in Azure is scheduled to be retired. I’m looking for similar services that can perform tasks such as:

  • Counting people in specific areas.
  • Detecting when a line is crossed.
  • Monitoring movement across specific zones.

I’d like to know if Azure Video Indexer can handle these tasks in real time or if there are other Azure services that can provide these capabilities. Any recommendations or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Azure Video Indexer focuses on video content insights, but it is not made for real-time spatial analysis. Instead, try Azure Computer Vision it can be used to create custom object detection models for people counting and movement tracking, while Azure IoT Edge enables real-time processing of video feeds. Azure Percept provides edge AI capabilities for local processin. Azure Live Video Analytics (LVA) through Azure Media Services is another powerful option
