    Hey,

An Exchange account is a business email account that is likely hosted on an Exchange Server. Since you have only hotmail accounts, you should not be getting this pop up. I would advise you to try and remove the email accounts from you iPad and add them back.

    Goodluck!

    Hello, @linda,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform!

The pop-up asking for your Exchange account password might be related to an email account, such as a work or school account, that is set up on your iPad. If your Hotmail passwords are not working, it's likely not related to those accounts.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1.Check for Other Accounts: Go to the settings and review the list of accounts to see if there is another email account (like a work or school Exchange account) that might be prompting for a password. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts (or Settings > Passwords & Accounts depending on your iOS version).

2.Remove and Re-add the Account: Removing the Exchange account from your iPad and then re-adding it can resolve the issue sometimes. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts, select the problematic account, and choose Delete Account. Then, add the account again.

3.Update the Password: If you recognize the account that's prompting for a password, enter the correct password. If you don't remember the password, you might need to reset it through the account provider's website (e.g., your work or school IT department).

4.Check for Software Updates and Restart Your iPad: Make sure your iPad is running the latest version of iOS: Go to Settings > General > Software Update.

5.Use Outlook App: If you're using the native Mail app, try switching to the Outlook app for iOS. It often handles Microsoft accounts better and might resolve the issue

Hope the above will help solve your problem. If not and you are using Outlook for iOS app, you can easily communicate with support team using the message functionality in Outlook.
