Could you provide information on how the Azure AI fast transcription API ensures the confidentiality and security of audio data and transcriptions in comparison to the real-time and batch transcription service?

I can see the real-time speech to text "audio input is processed only on the Azure's server memory, and no data is stored at rest." and the batch transcription can be configured to automatically delete the recordings. Source MS Learn

We would like to know if the fast transcription service has the same approach to confidentiality as the real time transcription (I believe the Microsoft Learn Article above was written before fast transcription was released).

    Hello @Taine Morrish ,

Thanks for posting your question in Microsoft Q&A.

The Azure AI Fast Transcription API is engineered to deliver efficient and scalable transcription services while prioritizing the confidentiality and security of audio data and transcriptions. Although the documentation for Fast Transcription may not be as comprehensive as that for Real-Time and Batch Transcription, we can draw important insights from Azure's overarching security practices and the information available for these other services.

In summary, while explicit documentation regarding the confidentiality measures of the Fast Transcription API may be limited, it is reasonable to assume that it adheres to the same robust security principles as Azure's other transcription offerings. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, we recommend wait for the latest resources and documentation.

    I hope this is helpful!
