Hello,
I encountered the following provisioning error when attempting to add a new "Standard_NC24ads_A100_v4 (24 cores, 220 GB RAM, 64 GB disk)" compute instance on my Azure Machine Learning resource currently located in North Europe region:

"Allocation failed. VM(s) with the following constraints cannot be allocated because the condition is too restrictive. Please remove some constraints and try again. Constraints applied are:

  • VM Size."

I have already requested some quotas for this VM size, and the compute cluster creation was successful.

Is a regional change necessary if I want same VM size for compute instance ?

Kind regards,
Thomas

    Hi tlievre-2888,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here
Based on your query, I understand your concern

It will be happened because that additional constraints like high memory, GPU, or disk requirements are making it hard to find a suitable VM. To resolve this, try relaxing some of these constraints and then attempt the request again. and also, the VM size you requested may not be available at the moment due to high demand.

You can try again after some time or select a different VM size you refer the below SS and documentation for more details
