Refund for Accidental Azure Subscription

Hello Microsoft ! I’ve ended up in a tricky situation and could really use some guidance. Here’s what’s going on: I opened an Azure account specifically for educational purposes, planning to use only the free credit that was provided. After I used up that credit, I forgot to remove the payment method associated with my account. As a result, I was billed for services I hadn’t intended to use. Now, I’m trying to request a full refund from Microsoft for these unplanned charges. However, when I create a new support request, I’ve run into an issue: once I reach the step where I’m supposed to select the transactions, they simply don’t appear—even though I could see them in the previous step

Has anyone here encountered something similar and can offer some advice? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

    Hi Erik Matsumura

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here.

If you see the transactions in the previous step but not when selecting them, it could be a temporary issue. Try refreshing the page or logging out and back into your Azure account.

Since billing support tickets are free, you should submit a support request for billing issues. To do this, go to the Azure portal and select "Help + Support" to create a new request. Be sure to choose "Billing" as the issue type.
