Can you please describe where exactly you are hitting the error message, you have tagged "Entra" and "Entra ID", however being a directory service neither actually does have a "software updates" section, so I am wondering what exactly you are trying to do where to be able to loop in the correct experts to get you the requested assistance.

This is actually the O365 Admin Center...I was digging through and found we are 2 versions behind on 77 devices and was trying to go to software updates to obtain a comprehensive list of devices.

The data from these reports should be coming through an Analytics Workspace in Azure.

Could you try and see if the Log Analytics workspace natively in Azure through the Portal is giving you similar issues?
