Visual Studio 2010 ALM Virtual Machine + Labs: December 2010 Refresh

As promised, I have updated the Visual Studio 2010 ALM Virtual Machine with a new version that will expire June 1, 2011. If you are using the previous version please note that it expires December 15, 2010, so you should consider downloading this refresh.

    Hi Brian, I know that this is probably a tall ask, but are there any plans to update the TFS 2008 VM? It has a January 2011 expiry date.

    @Joshkaa, Sorry - we made the decision to let those expire. Out of curiosity is there a reason the 2010 VM won't work for you? Brian

    I thought the 2008 VMs might come in useful for working with organisations that haven't yet moved onto 2010 (i.e. the one I've just started with). Will my MSDN keys make the expiry date moot for the 2008 VMs?

    @joshka, Yes I believe that will work although I haven't tested it. Hopefully you can get your organization onto 2010 soon. It's definitely a major upgrade. :-)

    I'm all too aware of this :). The client is a large government org with a fairly entrenched habit of slow reaction to change. They're also running Office 2003 on XP to put things in perspective.

    @Joshka, Aha - say no more. :-) I thought about this more and I think the only thing you'll need to do with the 2008 VM's is apply the key for the operating system and activate them. Just be sure to download them soon (if you haven't already) since we'll be retiring those downloads in mid-January.

    Downloaded. I imagine they'd be a good resources to leave around for people doing test migrations though. Thanks for the answers to my questions.
