Announcing Rollup 8 for Process Industries 3.1 for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1
Following last week's release of Rollup 8 for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 the Dynamics AX Sustained Engineering would like to announce the availability of Rollup 8 for Process Industries 3.1 for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1. This release is available for immediate download on Partner Source and Customer Source.

You must install the standard Rollup 8 package first (KB2677618) before installing RU8 for PI. If the application instance is disabled it means that the detected instance does not meet the requirements for installation. It is possible that the SYP RU8 (KB2677618) hasn't yet been installed. The version of SYP can be checked via the AXSYP.version or also via the "About" screen in the client which the SYP version is reflected as "Application version".Anonymous

When Tried to install RU8 for process industries KB2678990 we found the application instance selection is dimmed we checked the installation log and it says that the syp doesn't exist or its version is wrong what are the correct steps for installing RU8 for process industries and what are the requirement of this does the system stores the current version of the application somewhere else instead of the AXSYP.versionAnonymous
