New version of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Instance Adapter available

An updated version (2.2.209.3) of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Instance Adapter has been published to: www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35385

Issues addressed in this release

  • State and Status transitions for various entities are now better supported.  Custom statuses may not be fully supported, depending on the entity.
  • Email attachments are supported
  • Many to many entities are supported.  De-associations require that auditing be enabled for those entities.

The documentation has also been updated.  More information on the Instance Adapter can be found in this post: blogs.msdn.com/b/dynamicsconnector/archive/2012/10/24/connector-for-microsoft-dynamics-now-offers-microsoft-dynamics-crm-to-microsoft-dynamics-crm-integration-capabilities.aspx

I want to keep one Dynamics CRM 2011 on premis organisation in sync with the cloud version of Dynamics CRM (presently 2013). Is it possible to use the instance adapter between 2011 on premis and online 2013?

@Daniel - yes this is possible.  Bear in mind that the instance adapter is not supported by Microsoft directly and there are a few known limitations that have to do with state and status transitions for activities.
