Online backup providers

I was checking out the tech news for the day and came across a posting that that the Mozy (https://mozy.com/) service for online backup will discontinue their unlimited service. This is unfortunate as I was a big fan of the service (I even posted a blog entry about it earlier last year).  They will honor my current subscription but this will force me to shop around.

The other online back providers are ready to accept Mozy customers and provide a nice discount for switching. I will be taking a close look at online backup provider CrashPlan who happens to be a provider with a discount for users leaving the Mozy service www.crashplan.com/mozyonover. This is to bad I had high hopes for storage giant EMC here. In effort to be clear Mozy is not going away they are simply getting rid of their unlimited data backup option. I plan on riding out my subscription before shopping around.

Thanks for this great information.I just now hate mozy. They would have got another way of getting rid of the many customers they have other than increasing the prices.I have given CrashPlan a spin and i think it is a perfect online backup provider. And on the other hand too i love another online backup service called Safecopy backup. They offer incredible services.
