connect PowerPivot to an Oracle database

Not very well documented on how to connect PowerPivot to an Oracle database. You need the Oracle client installed and the TNS names configured.

In PowerPivot the server name to connect to the Oracle instance is host:port/service_name. If port number is already in TNS names you should be good. Other little gotcha was be sure ORACLE_HOME is set and in your path.

I have Oracle 11g 32 bit and 64 bit installed. In a tabular project, I cannot Import Oracle tables. I can browse the tables, I can create SSRS reports using Oracle data. Tabular project fails with Oracle. What am I missing. I need urgent help on this as I have been struggling for a few days now.
