Wheel Transitions
3 bikes that aren’t in usable condition. With a toddler. Wife & kid use the car, and I take the bus. I sometimes dream of fixing up the bikes & cruising around on them. But I don’t have the time, and I can’t include my kid (yet). They just sit there, rotting.
I’ve given the Hawk and Pavlov to a local high school shop class. I also gave them all my motorcycle-specific tools, parts, chemicals, etc. In a few days they got them cleaned up & running. Very nice.
I’m planning to come talk to the class about the bike, to share what knowledge I do have about them. I like knowing that these bikes will be put to good use.
I also plan to sell the Triumph. I’ll fix up a couple things, clean it up, and find a buyer. I’d rather it be ridden by someone, and I’d like the space back. I’ll give offer buyer my battery charger, helmet, gloves, helmet, pants, and anything else motorcycle-related I can find. Whatever the buyer doesn’t want, I’ll give away. That includes several years of issues of Motorcycle Consumer News, a very awesome magazine.
Pretty soon I’m going to be completely motorcycle-free. I enjoyed riding, but I’m done, at least for now.
What’s next? Well, my new hobby is sailing. And I’ll get around on the bus, bicycle, walking, the family car, and flexcar.
Yeah, I just signed up for flexcar. I’m pretty excited about it. For someone who mostly doesn’t need a car, it seems ideal.

I hate the fact that we (myself included) let fear stop us from enjoying life.
Yes, there is a mortal risk when you get on a motorcycle.
I don't want to die bored. This is my only life, ever. My only chance to live, to have fun, to experience everything!
