MDOP 2010 Gets a Refresh with MED-V SP1 RTM

Today marks the release of Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Virtualization (MED-V) SP1, which includes support for Windows 7. The official announcement appeared on the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) team blog since MED-V is one of six MDOP components. This code refresh comes right on the heels of the February release of MDOP 2010.

I’ve been talking with a number of clients about using MED-V to speed their Windows 7 deployments. While not a silver bullet, MED-V *is* a valuable tool to help you migrate to Windows 7 in spite of incompatible legacy applications. Check out the MED-V web site for more info – or drop me a note and I’ll stop by for a demo.
