At New York Presbyterian Hospital, they've created a Windows 8 tablet app to improve patient communications, while still keeping patient information secure.

"We're always looking for ways to bring services to our patients and the possibility for this tablet is that we now have a platform to do that," said Helen Kotchoubey, the hospital's corporate director of information services.
