Download Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) for Windows 8

Windows 8 LogoWindows Help (WinHlp32.exe) is a Help program that has been included with Microsoft Windows versions starting with the Microsoft Windows 3.1 operating system. However, the Windows Help program has not had a major update for many releases and no longer meets Microsoft's standards. Therefore, starting with the release of Windows Vista and continuing in Windows 8, the Windows Help program will not ship as a feature of Windows. If you want to view 32-bit .hlp files, you must download and install the program (WinHlp32.exe) from the Microsoft Download Center

Of course don’t forget that you can also hit the Windows Key and F1 to launch the Windows Help and Support directly from within Windows 8, and also checkout the Support section of our website

So what is the difference then between F1 "help" and downloading this WinHlp32.exe?  What do I "get" with this download?  Never remember downloading it on any other OS before.

This would be great if you could actually install it on Windows 8. But you can't - it always say "This update is not applicable to your computer"

Does the windows 7 update work on Intel/AMD version windows 8?  This download only works on the tablet version (ARM processors) not on standard PC hardware.  Typical Microsoft.
