SharePoint Designer Help Articles

Hello all,

I’m Stephen, the editor (and sometime writer) for SPD Help on Office Online. In case you’ve missed them, we’ve recently published some Help articles on designing workflows:

Coming soon are articles on the "Send email" action, workflow lookups, initiation forms, and troubleshooting workflow errors.

Also in the works are a series of screencasts about designing workflows in SPD. We'd really like to hear about any scenarios where an SPD workflow provided a solution for you, or scenarios where you're still trying to implement a workflow.

To get the latest Help info on SPD, you can subscribe to our SPD RSS feed on Office Online. I program this feed with videos, screencasts, articles, and training that are available from all Microsoft sites and resources, including the latest Help articles from Office Online.

Cheers,
Stephen

How about some help on extending SharePoint designer from C#? I could think of a couple of add-ins that would certainly ease my work!

Good article.  I am having a problem with a related type of workflow... I have a InfoPath form library.  When a new form is added to this library, I want a new InforPath form created in a second library and populated with a selection of data elements form the first form.  Using SPD, I see a "create new list item", but not a "create new library item".  When I try the "create new list item" action, there is a title, but no backing form template assigned.  Can you help?

Using the "add web parts" function, I want our companies "announcements" and "Quote of the week" to show up on our home page.  It looks fine when I have the site open in sharepoint designer, but when I log on as a user, it shows up in HTML code.  I'm new to this program, so any help is appreciated!

I created a workflow with SharePoint Designer 2007.  I have 9 reviewers that will be reviewing a document and the workflow assigns a tasks and each reviewer receives an email task notification with links to the document properties and to the SharePoint task page.  This works fine for 6 of them, but reviewers 5, 6 & 8 will let me connect to the Task page, open the doc properties, but when I select the Edit properties I get an error message -    Go back to site  Error: Access Denied.  I don't understand why I get this message for only three reviewers.  Any Help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, Is there a way to have SharePoint designer use lookup fields when creating a word document containing list fields? If not, is there a way to have SharePoint designer look at multiple lists when doing the workflow. Thanks!

@MissM Hello, MissM. I think we need to know more detailed scenario on what you want to do. We currently support lookup field for other list column and also support lookup from multiple list or WORD document field if it is connected to SharePoint list column but your question is not clear on what you wants to do. Can we ask you to tell us more about your scenario?
