Software Factories - the human side
I’m back in the office after travelling to Switzerland to speak about Software Factories at TechDays. I had some very interesting conversations there with Ralf Westphal, who showed me his work on adding textual Domain Specific Languages to Visual Studio – he told me he’ll be blogging about this, so watch out for that.
Ralf has posted about “The Future of Software Development”. Software Factories are often positioned as a technical thing, a new kind of methodology or toolset. But equally and possibly more importantly, as the software industry matures, there will be big changes in how people work and perceive their jobs.
