New Japanese Windows Mobile Smartphone

Here's something near and dear to my heart -- a new Windows Mobile smartphone. (I used to work in the Mobile and Embedded Devices Division.) In this case, it was Japan's Sharp that just put the new unit on the market, the W-Zero3 ES, which is only the second Windows Mobile unit built for Japanese mobile telecom systems.

One of the cool things about this new phone (aside from the VGA screen) is that it also serves as a USB host, allowing you to focus on using Windows Vista for more important things than simply transferring photos or other media.

Take a look at some photos:

I go to Japan fairly often, so it might be high time to pick up one of these babies :) FYI, here's a link to an article (in Spanish) on the original W-Zero3.

Woaw, so impressive! My - not yet released - P990i is stille out of date!

Do you know if the screen remains a touch screen or not?
