Remarks
Here, the term export is taken generically to mean content flowing out of the current client to another client, whether the destination client is also a PlayReady client or employs a non-Microsoft content protection technology. The latter scenario is called Export (not to be confused with the generic export usage mentioned previously), whereby content flows to a non-Microsoft content protection technology by way of transcryption. Such scenarios are regulated by the PlayReady Compliance Rules document that accompanies a PlayReady licensing agreement. For the former scenario (content flowing from PlayReady client to PlayReady client), examples include copy to personal computer and copy to device.
